We are reaching out to our community and beyond to request your generous donations towards a scholarship opportunity aimed at supporting international students from South America who are in need.  This scholarship fund is designed to provide financial assistance to students of color. This initiative aims to promote diversity, inclusivity, and access to education for underrepresented individuals, providing financial support to those pursuing their educational dreams. Recipients of the scholarship do not have the financial means to pursue a cultural exchange program in the United States but demonstrates academic merit, leadership potential, and a commitment to their communities.  The purpose of the cultural exchange program is for students to improve their English skills and be exposed to the US culture all while living with a host family and attending the local high school during the student’s stay in the United States.

Education is one of the most powerful tools for social and economic mobility, and yet, many students from marginalized backgrounds face numerous barriers to accessing it. Your donation can help break down those barriers and open doors of opportunity for deserving students who have the potential to make a positive impact in their communities. 

 

How Donations Will Be Used:

All donations received will go towards supporting the scholarship fund. The funds will be used to cover personal expenses for the student, flight expenses, program fees, books, and other education-related expenses for selected students. By supporting this scholarship fund, you will be investing in the education and future success of underprivileged students who may not have had the chance to pursue their dreams otherwise.

 

ARISE USA understands the importance of giving opportunities to deserving students who may not have otherwise had access to them. Mrs. Nayara Dixon, who is from Brazil and the Vice-President of ARISE USA, was a scholarship recipient herself years ago, which allowed her to complete a cultural exchange program in the United States. The scholarship program gave her further opportunities to pursue her higher education studies at Arizona State University.  Giving students the opportunity is a goal and a passion of ARISE USA because we see that it can truly change lives.
